Inventory Analyst – Langhorne, PA

Summary:

Responsible to monitor and report on the company’s inventory to provide efficient handling of the company’s products and supplies for the attainment of business goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain (“DSC”)- attend all S&OP meetings, assist in generation of all documentation required, document and record meeting minutes, and identify action items to be followed up on a monthly basis-provide the draft of the notes to Director for approval
  • Working under the direction of the DSC participate in the development and implementation of an inventory management system to assist the company in optimizing inventory levels using an “A, B, C” methodology
  • Develop and implement an “Inventory” plan for finished goods including;
    • Ensure product stock is adequate for all customers
    • Develop an inventory tracking system to streamline business operations
    • Conduct daily analyses to forecast and predict potential inventory issues
    • Report on inventory activities and variances as applicable
  • Implement and maintain the weekly back order list and provide a draft with comments to the DSC
  • Working under the direction of the DSC, track and update the inventory position on high-risk inventory (Quality holds, Short-date, expired and/or rejected goods) to provide input for the Materials Review Board (MRB)
  • Working under the direction of the DSC, generate all necessary Purchase Orders for inventory replenishment and provide follow-ups to ensure on time deliveries
  • Interact daily with company’s distribution locations and customer service functions on all logistical requirements to ensure adequate supply
    • Research, track, and resolve misshipments and damages and provide proper documentation where needed
    • Manage product receipt of all inventory through inventory management system and plan, allocate, and issue materials when needed while maintaining adequate inventory levels

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software (ERP)
  • Ability to work others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience in inventory, distribution and operational functions
